The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) is the process that welcomes you to join the Catholic faith community and introduces you to the beliefs and practices of the Church.  If you are not baptized, the process leads to the reception of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.  If you are Baptized in another Christian tradition, the process invites you to participate fully in the church through the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

If you are an adult looking to learn more about or to be initiated into the Catholic faith, need to prepare for a missed sacrament, or are a lifelong Catholic looking for a refresher course, then the R.C.I.A. Class can help.

At each R.C.I.A. Class we spend time answering your questions about the Catholic faith, reviewing the Scripture readings from Mass, and discussing the current chapter in our book.  Spouses, children, sponsors, and friends are also welcome to attend R.C.I.A. Class with you.  The R.C.I.A. class meets from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Sunday mornings from September through Easter every year.  If you are interested in joining, please contact Mike James, R.C.I.A. Coordinator, at (858)756-1911 ext. 5.
