2022-2023 R.C.I.A. Session
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) is the process that welcomes you to join the Catholic faith community and introduces you to the beliefs and practices of the Church. If you are not baptized, the process leads to the reception of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. If you are Baptized in another Christian tradition, the process invites you to participate fully in the church through the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. It also prepares you for the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation.
If you are an adult looking to learn more about or to be initiated into the Catholic faith, need to prepare for a missed sacrament, or are a lifelong Catholic looking for a refresher course, then the R.C.I.A. can help.
At each R.C.I.A. session we spend time answering your questions about the Catholic faith, reviewing the Scripture readings from Mass, and discussing the current chapter in our book. The most important element is getting your questions about the Catholic faith answered. The next R.C.I.A. session starts on September 18, 2022 and continues through May 28, 2023. We will meet on Sunday mornings from 11:30am-12:30pm in the Parish Office Conference Room. If you are interested in joining, please contact Mike James, Director of Catechetical Ministry / Director of R.C.I.A., at [email protected] to be added to the upcoming class list.
